Care by stage
What she needs, and when
Most kid losses trace back to the last six weeks of pregnancy, when the doe's nutrient demand roughly doubles while her rumen space shrinks. Feeding more of the same forage does not work; the ration has to become denser.
Early gestation
Day 1 – 50Embryo implantation. Keep the doe calm, avoid transport and sudden feed changes.
Mid gestation
Day 51 – 100Slow foetal growth. Maintenance ration is enough; monitor body condition so she does not get over-fat.
Late gestation
Day 101 – 135Seventy percent of foetal growth happens now. Increase concentrate gradually and add calcium.
Pre-kidding
Day 136 – 150Move to a clean, dry kidding pen. Watch for udder filling and ligament softening.

Before you rely on it
How long is goat gestation exactly?
Between 145 and 155 days, averaging 150. Beetal and Kamori does tend to sit at the longer end; Teddy does often kid a few days early, especially with twins or triplets.
What if I do not know the exact mating date?
Use the date the buck was put in with her, then set the accuracy to approximate. The tool widens the kidding window to cover the whole exposure period.
When can pregnancy be confirmed?
Ultrasound from around day 30, blood test from day 25. Before that, the most practical sign is simply that she does not return to heat at day 21.
Does carrying twins change the date?
Yes, slightly. Does carrying twins or triplets typically kid two to four days earlier than singles.
