Step 1
Evidence matters because payment is direct
Goat Mart does not adjudicate financial disputes and cannot freeze, reverse or recover direct buyer-seller payments. Your best protection is a clear evidence record that helps the other party, a platform reviewer, police, consumer forum or court understand what was agreed and what happened.
Keep the record simple: listing screenshot, chat agreement, payment receipt, inspection notes, handover photos, delivery notes and any signed receipt. Label files with dates and avoid editing screenshots in a way that makes them look unreliable.
Step 2
Before payment or handover
Before money or goods move, create a short written record that identifies the deal and the evidence both sides can rely on later.
- 1Save the listing screenshot showing title, photos, price, location and seller name.
- 2Record the agreed price, payment method, inspection terms and delivery plan in chat.
- 3Take inspection photos or keep the independent inspector report.
- 4For cash, prepare a written receipt with date, amount and animal/product details.
Step 3
If something goes wrong
Stay factual. Message the other party with the exact mismatch and attach fresh photos. Give them a reasonable chance to respond. If the conduct looks fraudulent or unsafe, report the listing/user on Goat Mart and keep your evidence for police, consumer or civil proceedings.
Goat Mart can use the evidence to moderate the platform account. It cannot order a refund, reverse a wallet transfer or recover cash because it did not receive or control the payment.
Key takeaways
- Keep listing, chat, payment and handover evidence together.
- Use factual timestamps and photos.
- Goat Mart can moderate accounts but cannot reverse direct payments.
